Super Eagles Captain, Musa Seals Off Turkish Club Deal

Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa has joined the Turkish club’s Fatih Karagümrük on a one-year deal from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillar.
The transfer was announced in a video posted on the official social media account of the red-black club.
In the post, the expression “Serkan Hurma: Happy holidays” was used, referring to the statement made by the club’s second president, Serkan Hurma, “Holiday gifts are on the way”.
The deal is believed to be a lucrative one for Musa who becomes the fifth player to arrive at the club in the summer transfer window, after Aleksandar Pesic, Kerim Frei, Samed Onur, and Erhun Öztümer.
“We added the 28-year-old Nigerian offensive player to our squad. During his career, he played for clubs such as VVV Venlo, CSKA Moscow, and Leicester City.
He scored 15 goals in 87 matches for the Nigerian National Team,” the club commented at the unveiling of the ex JUTH FC star.
The 28-year-old player, who transferred from CSKA Moscow to Leicester City for 19.5 million Euros in 2016, signed with Al-Nassr in 2018 for 16.5 million Euros.
Musa, who can play on the wings and forward, has played 87 matches and scored 15 goals in the Nigerian National Team, where he has been playing since 2010.
The winger, who played 329 games in his professional career, contributed 88 goals and 63 assists.
At Fatih Karagümrük, Musa will work with coach Francesco Farioli as well as share the same dressing room with Emiliano Viviano and former Liverpool star Fabio Borini.
