Six Injured in Suspected Terror Attack at Pro-Israel Rally in Boulder; FBI Investigating

Six people were injured after a man allegedly attacked a pro-Israel gathering in Boulder, Colorado, using Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower, U.S. authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The incident, which took place at an outdoor mall during a weekly event supporting Israeli hostages, is being investigated by the FBI as a suspected act of terrorism. Witnesses reported that the attacker shouted “Free Palestine” before igniting incendiary devices and setting fire to the crowd.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national whose U.S. visa reportedly expired in 2023, is currently in custody. Federal officials said Soliman used improvised firebombs and a flamethrower-style weapon to launch the assault.

Video captured at the scene shows panic as bystanders rushed to aid the injured, several of whom suffered burns and trauma amid the chaos. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, and all six victims are being treated at local hospitals.

Israel’s Foreign Minister condemned the incident as “a terrible antisemitic terror attack targeting Jews,” and called on U.S. authorities to respond with decisive action.

While formal terrorism charges have not yet been filed, officials confirmed that both Soliman’s motive and immigration status are under active review. The FBI, Boulder Police Department, and the Department of Homeland Security are jointly leading the investigation.

Authorities have not indicated whether Soliman had ties to any organized extremist groups, but said all potential leads are being explored as part of a comprehensive federal probe.
