Senate President Godswill Akpabio has reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for investment in sustainable energy projects across Nigeria and Africa.

Speaking at the 8th Energy Summit organized by the Solewant Group in Rivers State, with the theme, Pioneering Technology and Innovation for Transition to Sustainable Energy Development in Africa”, Akpabio, represented by Senate Deputy Minority Whip Osita Ngwu, highlighted the critical role of technology and innovation in Africa’s transition to cleaner energy systems.

He emphasized the need to harness Africa’s vast renewable energy resources, including solar, hydro, and geothermal, using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence to create resilient and sustainable energy systems.
