Rudy Giuliani Turns Over Luxury Assets to Georgia Election Workers in Defamation Case Settlement

After months of legal battles, Rudy Giuliani on Friday handed over a luxury sports car, several watches, a ring, and other financial assets to two Georgia election workers he defamed following the 2020 presidential election, according to a letter from his lawyer.

A federal jury had previously ordered Giuliani to pay nearly $150 million in damages to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, a mother-daughter duo who were falsely accused by Giuliani of committing election fraud while counting ballots in Georgia’s Fulton County during the 2020 election.

The asset transfer follows weeks of contention between attorneys for both sides. Last week, Freeman and Moss’s representatives accused Giuliani of “secreting away” property after finding his Manhattan apartment virtually empty during a receivership visit. Giuliani had been ordered to transfer shares in his Upper East Side co-op, sports memorabilia, a blue Mercedes-Benz convertible once owned by Lauren Bacall, and luxury watches, including one belonging to his grandfather.

In a letter to U.S. Judge Lewis Liman, Giuliani’s lawyer, Joseph Cammarata, confirmed that “watches and a ring were delivered via FedEx” to an address in Atlanta, while the Mercedes-Benz was delivered to Florida. Giuliani’s bank was also instructed to transfer all non-exempt funds to Freeman and Moss.

Judge Liman had warned Giuliani of potential contempt charges if he failed to comply with the court’s order.

Earlier on Friday, Ted Goodman, a spokesman for Giuliani, shared a video on social media platform X showing several watches displayed on a table, seemingly part of the transferred assets.
