The plane carrying the late governor’s remains landed at approximately 3:39 p.m on Friday, January 5, 2024.

His wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, along with his children and siblings led by Prof. Wole Akeredolu, received the late Governor’s body, which was transported from Germany where he passed away.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, represented by Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde; Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, represented by Secretary to the State Government Tokunbi Talabi; and Senator Ademola Adeleke, representative of Osun State Governor, also participated in the reception.

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; House of Representatives member Hon. Gboyega Adefarati, and several members of the Ondo State Executive Council were also in attendance.
