Rafael Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam champion, has announced he will retire from professional tennis at the end of this season. The 38-year-old is set to make his final appearance representing Spain at the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga this November.
In a video message shared on Thursday, Nadal stated, “I am here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that the last few years, particularly the last two, have been tough. I don’t think I’ve been able to play without limitations.”
