Presidential Tribunal: Atiku’s Petition Against Tinubu Adjourned Till May 18  

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has adjourned yet again the continuation of the pre-hearing of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar, its presidential candidate filed petition against the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Bola Tinubu till Thursday, May 18, 2023.
The PDP and Atiku are challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect in the appeal with the file number CA/PEPC/05/2023.
The petition names INEC, Bola Tinubu, and the APC as respondents.
Chris Uche, the legal representative for Atiku and the PDP, expressed interest in the case during the court hearing on Thursday morning.
He stated, “I have the permission of Wole Olanikpekun to indicate interest first in number 2.”
The respondents promised to submit their responses by Monday after the court considered a request for live coverage of the proceedings.
Therefore, Justice Tsammani praised the parties for their cooperation and accord, noting that it would help the pre-hearing session end quickly.
Recall that On Thursday, Atiku attended court to monitor the proceedings in the case he brought to contest the results of the 2023 presidential election.
