President Tinubu, Shettima Arrive in Lagos, Maiduguri for Eid-el-Fitri Celebrations

President Bola Tinubu has landed in Lagos State to partake in the Eid-el-Fitri festivities.
He was warmly received at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and select members of the State Executive Council.
Tinubu’s arrival aligns with his commitment to observe the occasion with prayers for Nigeria and family, as stated by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
Despite the solemnity of the occasion, Tinubu is expected to continue with official duties during and after the Eid-el-Fitri holidays.
The Eid-el-Fitri festival is celebrated by Muslims worldwide after observing Ramadan fasting for 29 or 30 days.
Also, Vice President Kashim Shettima has touched down in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, in anticipation of the Eid-El-Fitri celebration.
His arrival at the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport on Sunday was greeted with heightened security measures.

Shettima was warmly received by Borno Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Kadafur, alongside members of the State Executive Council and prominent party figures.
Security has been significantly bolstered in Maiduguri and its environs ahead of the festive period, in preparation for the Eid-El-Fitri celebrations marking the end of Ramadan fasting.
