President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday inaugurated three road projects in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The roads, which entailed Katsina road, Dan haya road, and the Emir Palace road, were constructed under the Kafanchan Urban Renewal Project of the state government.
Under the Urban Renewal Project of the state government, 21 roads totaling 26.3km were either reconstructed, expanded or dualised in Kafanchan, at a total cost of N12.8 billion.
Commissioning the projects on Thursday, the President praised the State Governor for executing projects to make Kaduna great again.
He pledged the Federal Government’s resolve to continue to initiate programs that will impact the ordinary Nigerians.
Buhari, in the company of the state governor, Malam Nasir Elrufai, toured the newly commissioned roads, amidst cheers by the huge crowd of people that trooped out to welcome him.
The President thereafter moved to the Emir of Jema’a Palace in Kafanchan to pay homage, after which he left for Kaduna, the State capital, to open more projects. In his welcome address, the Emir of Jama’a, Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu, appealed to the President to use his exalted office in attracting more Federal Presence in Southern Kaduna, especially the reviving of the Kafanchan rail track and the siting of a permanent mobile base in Kafanchan.
