Peter Obi Launches Obidient Movement ID Cards and New Online Portal

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has unveiled an online registration portal and identity cards for members of his Obidient Movement, both within Nigeria and across the diaspora.

The announcement was made in a joint statement on Saturday by the movement’s National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, and Director of Strategic Communications and Media, Nana Kazaure.

According to the statement, each identity card will feature a QR code for authentication and display the flag of the holder’s country of residence. “You will observe that the ID has a flag on it. For example, if you’re not resident in Nigeria, the top right-hand corner will carry the flag of your country of residence,” the statement explained.

The ID cards, marked with the prefix “OBX,” are designed to foster unity, diversity, and secure interaction among members globally. Users can scan the QR code with a smartphone to verify the identity and authenticity of fellow Obidients.

“This initiative offers a secure and confident way for Obidients to interact and support each other,” the statement added.
