The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibom Ibas (retd), of systematically dismantling governance structures established by suspended Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
Rivers PDP Chairman, Nname Ewor, also criticized former Head of Service Dr. George Nweke, alleging that he is being used by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to spread falsehoods against Fubara’s administration.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, Ewor condemned President Bola Tinubu’s state of emergency in Rivers, arguing that the state is neither at war nor experiencing a natural disaster. He questioned whether the Sole Administrator’s actions would restore peace or worsen tensions.
Ewor dismissed Nweke’s allegations linking Fubara to the bombing of the House of Assembly and claims of supporting Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed in the 2027 elections.
“Nweke, highly compromised and a serial betrayer, became a ready tool in Wike’s hands to spread falsehoods and distort facts against Governor Fubara and other leaders,” Ewor stated.
