The Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Negotiation Committee (JNC) in Ogun State have expressed their gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for approving a Christmas bonus for the state workforce.
In a letter of appreciation, TUC Chairman Akeem Lasisi commended the governor for the gesture, acknowledging that the bonus would help workers navigate the current economic difficulties. Lasisi praised Governor Abiodun’s compassionate leadership, noting that the bonus would significantly ease the financial burdens faced by workers and their families.
“This development was not unexpected, as we are well aware of the compassionate leadership that His Excellency embodies,” Lasisi wrote. “This gesture will significantly help alleviate the daily economic hardships that our workforce and their families face. We assure you that this unexpected display of care will encourage our colleagues to strive for even more outstanding achievements for our beloved state.”
In a separate letter, JNC Chairman Olude Isa also expressed appreciation, emphasizing that the bonus would enable workers to have a joyful and fulfilling Christmas celebration.
“Beyond rhetoric, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has done it once more, putting smiles on our faces in this season of celebrating Jesus Christ,” Isa said. “The bonus has brought economic empowerment and inclusiveness to the state workforce, and we are very grateful for the timely gesture.”
