Nollywood actress and producer Allwell Ademola has reportedly died , prompting an outpouring of grief across Nigeria’s film industry.
According to industry sources, Ademola passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at the age of 49 as against the 43 years circulating online. News circulating said she suffered a heart attack at her residence and was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The news has shocked colleagues and fans, with several prominent Nollywood figures publicly mourning her passing on social media.
Actress Fathia Williams appeared to confirm the news in an Instagram post, writing, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar.”
Actor Damola Olatunji shared a candlelight image with the caption, “Life is a mirage,” while actress Mide Martins posted a photograph of Ademola on Facebook accompanied by a tribute.
Actress Bidemi Kosoko expressed disbelief in an emotional Instagram message, writing that she could not accept the news and pleaded for Ademola to respond to her messages.
No official statement has yet been released by Ademola’s family or representatives, and details regarding funeral arrangements have not been announced.
Ademola was known for her work both in front of and behind the camera, and her reported death marks a significant loss for Nigeria’s film industry.
