President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will evaluate the performance of his ministers on May 29, as his administration marks its second anniversary, presidency sources disclosed on Tuesday.
The assessment will be led by the Central Results Delivery and Coordination Unit (CDCU) under the Presidency and will present a first-quarter 2025 scorecard based on key deliverables set by the ministries.
“Officials of the various ministries have uploaded the reports of their activities and projects on the portal provided by the CDCU,” a source revealed.
Reports were submitted last month through a secure CDCU portal, and the verification process has now been completed.
This review reflects Tinubu’s stance during the November 2023 Cabinet Retreat, where he stressed that results would determine continuity in office.
“If you are performing, nothing to fear. If you miss the objective, we’ll review it. If no performance, you leave us,” the President had warned.
Although no immediate cabinet reshuffle is expected, insiders noted that ministers in strategic sectors are under increased scrutiny, as the President considers potential changes based on performance outcomes.
