Lucky Aiyedatiwa Appoints First Set Of Aides As Ondo Governor

Shortly after being sworn in as Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa wasted no time in making his first appointments. 
In an announcement made on Wednesday by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Omojuwa Olusegun, five individuals were appointed to key roles in the administration.
Among the appointees is seasoned journalist Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, who assumes the role of Chief Press Secretary. Sunday Abire has been appointed as Special Assistant on New Media. Prior to his new position, Adeniyan served as the Publisher of Trace News magazine.
The other appointments include Smart Omodunbi as Special Assistant on Political Matters, Monturayo Oyedele as Special Assistant on Photography, and Temitayo Iperepolu as Special Assistant on Domestic and Government House.
These appointments are effective immediately.
Resignations of Akeredolu’s Appointees 
Concurrently, Dare Aragbaye, the Special Adviser to the Ondo State governor on Union Matters and Special Duties, has submitted his resignation. In a letter addressed to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and dated December 27, Aragbaye attributed his decision to the unfortunate death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
In the resignation letter, Aragbaye expressed gratitude to Governor Akeredolu for the opportunity to serve, first as Head of Service and later as Special Adviser.
The letter reads, “l write to refer to the subject above and to resign my appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties with effect from today, Wednesday, 27 December, 2023.
“My decision to resign is based on the unfortunate death of my Principal a fearless and honest leader, Governor Arakunm Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN CON, whom I am loyal to even in death.
“I sincerely thank his excellency for the opportunity granted me to serve in his administration as a member of the State Executive Council first as a Head of Service and now, as Special Adviser.”
Similarly, Oladoyin Odebowale, the Senior Special Assistant to Akeredolu on Sexual Duties and Strategy, also submitted his resignation.
 While the letter did not provide specific reasons for his decision, Odebowale expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Government for the chance to serve.
