Many residents in Kaduna have been left stranded at bus stations as a result of the ban on Okada, while commercial bus operators have profited from the situation.
Commercial bus drivers in various parts of the state are now charging over 200 percent more than the standard price.

From 7 p.m., security personnel was on the ground detaining Keke NAPEP operators.
Persons with disabilities have petitioned Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmad el-rufai to let them use their personal motorcycles for movement.
“I’m personally staying in Kakuri Makera Kaduna,” Muhammad Salahuddeen Nuhu, who lives in Kakuri, said on behalf of those with disabilities. I can’t get around without a motorcycle because I’m paralyzed. It is the only way for me to get around and do my daily duties. Now, how do I start over when I don’t have any other options?” he bemoaned.
“As a Kaduna State native, I firmly oppose the prohibition of motorcycle rides, at least in the Kaduna metropolis.
“The Kaduna State administration should immediately permit motorcycle riding in Kaduna town and other areas where bandits are constantly raiding.
“However, if the state authority fails to heed this appeal, I will be forced to stage a one-person protest demanding that the government supply automobiles for me and others in similar situations conduct our numerous legal businesses,” he stated.
