Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran better known as Jandor and the 2023 PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging his full support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027.
During a rally in Ojo Local Government Area on Friday, Adediran, who leads the Lagos4Lagos Movement, said his decision was inspired by the reforms championed by President Tinubu.
“Our conviction to come back home is as a result of the reforms that Mr. President is doing,” Adediran said.
He praised the removal of the fuel subsidy as evidence of Tinubu’s selflessness, noting:
“The removal of fuel subsidy makes Tinubu a selfless President. He could have left it in place to secure a second term, but he chose to do what’s best for the country. That is why we are going to do everything humanly possible to make sure we work for his re-election in 2027.”
Adediran who resigned from the PDP on March 3 and returned to the APC said that, despite his electoral defeat, his efforts had opened doors for the party’s Badagry division. He thanked the APC leadership for their warm reception and called on his followers to begin grassroots mobilization for Tinubu’s campaign.
Lagos State APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi welcomed Jandor and his supporters, promising robust integration and rewards for loyalty.
“Put in your best. Let your best be known to all of us. We are going to do everything possible to integrate you. We’ll use our votes as investments to negotiate for greater involvement in governance,” Ojelabi said.
Also in attendance were former Deputy Governor Sarah Sosan, members of the National and State Assemblies, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Kayode Robert, and Ojo Local Government Chairman Olushola Idowu.
