The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that Senator Samuel Anyanwu will represent the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the gubernatorial candidate, with Dr. Jones Onyereri as his running mate ahead of the November 11 governorship election.

While other gubernatorial candidates are yet to choose their running mates, the PDP candidate has not only nominated his running mate, Dr. Jones Onyereri, but has also established a Manifesto/Strategic Communication Committee to develop a people-oriented program for his administration.
“This goes a long way to prove that our governorship candidate, Sen Samuel Anyanwu is well prepared for the task ahead,” a spokesman for Anywanwu’s campaign Dumebi Ifeanyichukwu said in a statement. “Imo will breathe of fresh air across the state, Sen Samuel Anyanwu and Rt Hon Jones Onyereri are Ready To Make Imo Safe Again”
