Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering local government chairmen to deliver quality governance.
Speaking through his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, the governor made the pledge on Thursday during the inauguration of projects in Bomadi Local Government Area, executed by council chairman Mr. Dagidi Andaye to mark his first year in office.
Oborevwori commended Andaye as “a true example of a selfless leader,” recalling how the chairman personally spent ₦50 million to repair the Bomadi–Ohoro Road before assuming office. He noted that several other projects under Andaye’s leadership were ongoing, reflecting transparency, improved infrastructure, and people-focused governance in line with the administration’s MORE Agenda.
“My administration will continue to support local governments to bring real benefits to our people,” the governor assured. “The important projects we inaugurated today are signs of progress and a better future for our dear state.”
He urged Bomadi residents to sustain their support for Andaye, stressing that his achievements highlight the value of unity, teamwork, and commitment to service.
