Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to discuss the state’s security situation.

Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press Affairs and Media to the governor, issued a statement indicating that before meeting President Tinubu, Governor Buni had engaged in a detailed discussion on the state’s security situation with the Minister of Police Affairs, Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam. Both the governor and the minister recognized the enhanced security situation throughout the state but agreed to explore additional avenues for improvement. Subsequently, Buni and Gaidam visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where they met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Buni expressed, “Generally, there is tremendous improvement in security across the state, except for isolated cases.””Soft target border communities have been vulnerable, but we are implementing serious measures to curb the incursion of criminals into the state,” affirmed Governor Buni. According to the statement, during the meeting, President Tinubu assured that the government would do everything possible to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians.
