Ganduje: Presidency Will Return to North After Tinubu’s Second Term

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that the presidency will return to the North after President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Ganduje made the statement on Tuesday while receiving a delegation from the Tinubu Northern Youth Forum (TNYF) at the APC secretariat in Abuja.

Addressing speculations about a northern presidency in 2027, he dismissed such aspirations as “dead on arrival.”

“When a leader from the North was in office for eight years, we advocated for the presidency to shift to the South. We worked hard to achieve this, and today, we have a president from the South. Insha Allah, he will complete a second term in 2027, after which power will return to the North,” Ganduje stated.

Describing Tinubu as a “reformer and visionary leader,” the former Kano State governor praised the president’s policies, saying his administration is focused on “repositioning the country for sustainable growth and development.”

Ganduje also defended the government’s economic reforms, acknowledging that the nation required “surgical corrections” to address long-standing challenges.

“We are happy that we have started seeing the outcomes of these reforms, particularly in the economic sector. This will continue to yield positive results so that the legacy and the Renewed Hope agenda will be fully achieved,” he added.
