National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has fired back at Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), dismissing him as a “failed politician with no political base.”
Ganduje’s rebuttal follows Galadima’s remarks on AIT’s Jigsaw programme, where he claimed Ganduje owed his position solely to President Bola Tinubu and lacked political value of his own. He also alleged a plot to destabilize Kano State and impose a state of emergency without Tinubu’s awareness.
Responding through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, Oliver Okpara, Ganduje described Galadima’s comments as mischievous and baseless.
“Ganduje is a well-known, tested and trusted, result-oriented technocrat and politician of high repute who successfully led Kano for two uninterrupted terms,” the statement read. “Where are Galadima’s results?”
He went on to highlight Ganduje’s legacy of developmental projects in Kano State, asserting that the APC, under his leadership, is flourishing, unlike the NNPP, which he described as battling “intractable and untreatable factionalisation.”
The exchange intensifies political tensions in Kano, where ongoing rivalry between the APC and NNPP continues to fuel controversy and power struggles.
