National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has confidently declared that the ruling party’s prospects for the 2027 general elections are already secured, as more governors prepare to defect to the APC.
Speaking at his Abuja residence while welcoming top defectors from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State including Senator Kawu Sumaila and former SSG Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi Ganduje praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and policies.
“In APC, we believe in our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We believe in his economic reforms and his Renewed Hope Agenda,” Ganduje stated. “Part of that agenda is expanding our political base. Through advocacy and dialogue, we are successfully convincing key figures and even sitting governors to join our fold.”
He cited the recent defections of the Delta State governor, his deputy, state cabinet members, lawmakers, and even a former PDP vice presidential candidate as signs of growing APC dominance.
“APC is expanding,” Ganduje said. “I don’t want to reveal our full strategy, but let me assure you 2027 is a done deal.”
Pressed to confirm ongoing talks with other governors, Ganduje responded confidently: “Yes, more governors are coming into APC, I assure you. And where elections are coming up, APC, Insha’Allah, will win them.”
