The federal government has announced the schedule of events for this year’s Democracy Day celebration on June 12.

The details were released in a notice by Abdulhakeem Adeoye on behalf of the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Sunday, June 9.

The celebration will begin on Tuesday, June 11, with a symposium at 9:00 AM at the State House Conference Centre, Presidential Villa, Abuja. This will be followed by a youth conference at 6:00 PM at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.

On Wednesday, June 12, the events will include a grand parade at Eagle Square, Abuja, starting at 8:00 AM. The day will conclude with a dinner at 6:00 PM at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja. Only accredited Villa correspondents will be permitted to cover the events held at the Presidential Villa.
