Farida Fasasi wife to the late Nigerian musician Olanrewaju Fasasi, often known as Sound Sultan, celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary with a beautiful message relishing their time together.
On Friday, the mother-of-three released a video of their marital journey on her Instagram page.
Even though they are separated by death, she wrote in her post that her spouse, whom she affectionately refers to as “Aboo,” is irreplaceable.
She wrote, “Aboo, 1st of October, our family and friends gathered to share our joy and celebrate with us as we sealed our beautiful love in marriage.
“The song ‘Love language’ is a testament of our decision to weather the storm together above our tribe, tongues, and religion.
“Death has separated us but in my heart you are irreplaceable. I love you always and forever. Happy 12th-anniversary baby.”
After a battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, the popular singer died on July 11th. According to Islamic customs, he was buried the same day in the United States.
Farida, his widow, had broken her silence over her husband’s death by writing an emotional homage in his memory a month after he died.
Part of the tribute read, “It still feels like a bad dream. How is this my fate?. Living without you has to be the worst punishment life has thrown my way.”
“My dear Aboo, my nights have been so long and cold since you left me. My sweet gentle husband, the love of my entire life, my world. Thank you for giving me the best of yourself for the past years. Our love was truly perfect and I am totally lost without you.”
