Public affairs analyst Daniel Bwala has officially announced his departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and indicated that he is on the verge of joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Thursday, Bwala confirmed his decision. When asked about his political affiliation, he clarified, “I am not a member of the PDP. Yes, I have left the PDP.”
He also mentioned that he is “very close” to becoming a member of the APC.
It is worth noting that Bwala previously served as a spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar campaign organization.
However, since the 2023 election, he has been a prominent advocate of President Bola Tinubu’s policies. In January, Bwala visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he voiced his support for the government and urged Nigerians to do the same.
Bwala defended his visit, stating that he had informed Atiku Abubakar beforehand and received a positive response. He also dismissed rumors suggesting he was seeking a government appointment.
