Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, the Revered Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, popularly called Baba Aladura has passed away.
The Secretariat of the church, led by Secretary-General Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun, officially confirmed his demise. The Spiritual Father, aged 103, peacefully departed on Sunday morning at 10:00 am in his Ilorin residence in Kwara state.
Apostle Odetundun shared that the late spiritual leader had partaken in breakfast and was almost ready for service when he expressed a desire to rest for a while. His passing occurred peacefully following this moment. Burial arrangements will be announced at a later time.
Brief Biography
Born on June 26, Dr. Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye hailed from Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State. His father, Odetundun Abegunde, served as the Oba Olomu of Omu Aran. His educational journey began at N. A. Primary School, Omu Aran, in May 1934. Notably, he encountered the Cherubim and Seraphim Church around 1938 through the guidance of Reverend Senior Apostle Prophet Peter Oyinloye.
As a devoted convert, Baba Samuel Abidoye memorized the catechism and experienced visions of our Lord Jesus Christ in dreams and trances in 1958. The passing of this spiritual luminary marks a significant loss, and the church mourns his departure.
