Today, following news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II in Britain, President Biden canceled planned remarks in which he was to urge Americans to get updated coronavirus shots.
Biden was set to detail his administration’s plans to make the omicron-targeting boosters widely available this fall.
It was not immediately clear when his remarks would be rescheduled. Before a planned trip to a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Maryland, the president and first lady stopped at the British Embassy to pay their respects following the death of the queen.
