Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has appointed Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, known as Tuface, as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.

In a widely circulated video on Wednesday, Governor Alia expressed his gratitude to Tuface for his continued support of the administration, highlighting that the singer’s influence and experience could play a key role in the state’s development.

“On behalf of the Benue State government and our people, we want to offer you additional responsibilities, alongside the great work you’ve already been doing,” said Governor Alia. “You have the capacity to do more and help us create a path forward to improve the lives of others. We value your wisdom and advice.”

Tuface, a pioneer in Afrobeats, rose to fame in the 2000s and is celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to Nigerian pop music. His appointment underscores the administration’s focus on leveraging entertainment and community outreach as key drivers of growth and unity within the state.
