Air Peace Resumes Full Operations Today After NIMET Suspends Strike

Air Peace has announced it will resume full flight operations on Friday, April 25, 2025, following the suspension of the industrial action by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) and other aviation sector unions.

In a statement released on Thursday, Ejike Ndiulo, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, expressed gratitude to passengers and stakeholders for their patience during the disruption. The statement reads: “Air Peace is pleased to announce the resumption of all flight operations on Friday, April 25, 2025, following the suspension of the industrial action by NIMET and other unions in the aviation sector. We sincerely thank you for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support throughout this challenging period.”

The airline also acknowledged the intervention of Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who played a crucial role in resolving the issue. “Keyamo’s swift engagement with all stakeholders, his transparent approach to dialogue, and his unwavering dedication to the stability and progress of the aviation sector reflect a deep understanding of the critical role aviation plays in national development,” the statement added.

Previously, Air Peace had suspended its flights due to the ongoing NIMET strike, which disrupted the availability of hazardous weather reports needed for safe landings, prioritizing the safety of passengers above all else.
