Team Media Officer Babafemi Raji confirmed Osimhen’s availability, stating that the 24-year-old striker has recovered and participated in training with the squad in Bouaké on Tuesday.

“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday,” a post on the team’s handle captioned ‘Super Eagles Camp Update,’ read. “He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today.”

This announcement was made through a post on the team’s official handle, reassuring fans of Osimhen’s readiness to contribute on the field.

In a previous statement issued by the Super Eagles media team, it was mentioned that Osimhen would be under observation in Abidjan while the rest of the squad traveled to Bouake for the match.

However, the latest update confirms his clearance to join the team ahead of the crucial encounter against South Africa.

The statement also outlined the team’s travel plans, indicating that they would fly from Abidjan to Bouaké via an Air Cote d’Ivoire flight.

“We will fly from Abidjan to Bouaké today via a 10 pm Air Cote d’Ivoire flight,” an official statement from the team on Monday night had read in part.

“If cleared by tomorrow morning, he will join the rest of the squad before 5 pm.”

The Super Eagles management expressed optimism that Osimhen would be fully integrated into the squad’s preparations before the match.
