Abductors Demand N10m Ransom Each For Pupils, Teachers, Drivers

The abductors of five pupils, four teachers, and a school bus driver from The Apostolic Faith Montessori School in Emure Ekiti have demanded a ransom of N10 million for each hostage. The hostages were taken while returning to Eporo Ekiti at the close of school earlier in the week.
Families of the victims and a representative from the school have confirmed communication with the abductors. They expressed deep concern over the escalating activities of gunmen in the area and urged government authorities to prioritize the security of all citizens.
In response, the Ekiti State Police Command has launched a rigorous manhunt operation to rescue the hostages. Residents remain hopeful that security agencies will fulfill their promise and safely retrieve their loved ones.
The Ekiti State Government, led by Governor Oyebanji, has reiterated its commitment to collaborating with security agencies to secure the release of the victims. Security measures have been intensified across the state to root out criminal elements from their hideouts.
Governor Oyebanji called on citizens to remain calm and vigilant while urging them to cooperate with security agencies by providing relevant information to aid in the rescue mission. The government reassured the public of its determination to ensure the safety and security of all residents in the state.
