Benue State Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has submitted the names of six nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioners and members of the State Executive Council (SEC).

The nominees were contained in a letter dated August 18 and addressed to the Speaker of the House, Alfred Emberga.

According to the governor, the nominations comprise individuals proposed to replace outgoing members of the council as well as new nominees to fill existing vacancies.

Alia said the move was aimed at strengthening the State Executive Council and bringing additional expertise and capacity into his administration.

The governor urged the House to give the nominees prompt and favourable consideration.

The six nominees are Kuma Aii Yenge, Roy Ashirga Terna, Angwa Egbe, Elizabeth Onma Ogenyi, Solomon Iorpev and Nick Eworo.

Their confirmation by the Assembly will pave the way for their formal appointment as members of the Benue State Executive Council.
