TETFund Reaffirms Support for Nigerian Air Force Educational Institutions

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting educational institutions run by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), aimed at strengthening technical training and tertiary education in Nigeria.

The announcement was made by TETFund Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, during a visit by Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, to the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

Aneke commended TETFund for its longstanding role in enhancing infrastructure and academic capacity within NAF institutions. “It is indeed a great pleasure for me and members of my delegation to be here today at the headquarters of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund,” he said, emphasizing the agency’s strategic role in national development.

Reflecting on his tenure as Director of Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Aneke highlighted the tangible impact of TETFund’s interventions, including buildings, infrastructure, and educational resources. “The Nigerian Air Force holds TETFund in very high esteem, not only as a Federal Government parastatal but as an organisation pivotal in shaping our national development through unwavering support for tertiary education,” he added.

Aneke specifically praised TETFund’s contributions to the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), noting that the support has significantly enhanced the institution’s ability to deliver quality technical training for Nigeria’s aviation and defence sectors.

The meeting underscores TETFund’s ongoing partnership with the Nigerian Air Force to promote technical skills development and strengthen Nigeria’s tertiary education landscape.
