Sen. Ndume Calls on President Tinubu to Address Rising Fuel and Food Prices

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, has raised concerns about the growing hardship faced by Nigerians due to escalating fuel and food prices. In a statement from Abuja, Ndume called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to swiftly address the issue, attributing the worsening situation to harmful economic policies influenced by misguided advisers.

Ndume emphasized that the sharp rise in the cost of basic goods and services is becoming unbearable for many Nigerians, particularly those in northern Nigeria. He highlighted the impact on farmers, who struggle to transport their produce due to high fuel costs, further driving up food prices.

He urged President Tinubu to reconsider current economic policies, warning that the patience of Nigerians is wearing thin and immediate action is needed to alleviate their suffering. Ndume stressed that without urgent intervention, the purchasing power of the people will continue to weaken, causing further despair.
