Gov Abdulrazaq Emerges Kwara APC Guber Candidate

Kwara State governor, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, on Thursday, emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general election. AbdulRazaq, who was the only APC gubernatorial aspirant, was returned unopposed by 965 delegates that participated in the primary election held in Ilorin, the state capital.
The chairman of the APC governorship/House of Assembly electoral panel for Kwara State, Prof. Emmanuel Dan Daura, confirmed AbdulRazaq as the winner of the governorship primary election that was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere. He said there were 961 valid votes and four invalid votes.
In his reaction, Governor AbdulRazaq thanked the APC stalwarts and members of the state for their support for his administration. He said since the emergence of the APC government in 2019 in the State, “Kwara politics has evolved, the destiny of the state is no longer tied to a single individual.”
Listing the achievements of his administration in the past three years, AbdulRazaq said: “There is no single ward in the state that has not witnessed development. APC is the party to beat at the state and federal levels where President Muhammadu Buhari is providing the right leadership. This is the reason for the avalanche of aspirants scrambling to get the APC tickets across the country while other parties are struggling to get aspirants.”
