The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and a former governor of Lagos State Bola Tinubu, has left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia.

The Presidential aspirant is in Saudi Arabia for Umrah, the lesser hajj. He is said to be seeking spiritual guidance ahead of the general elections in 2023.

This follows President Muhammadu Buhari’s invitation to Tinubu and other governing party leaders to break the Ramadan fast with him on Tuesday.

The APC leaders invited by the President are expected to start arriving at the State House Conference Centre by 4.30 pm for a Rapid Covid-19 test ahead of the dinner meeting.

Former APC National Chairmen John Oyegun and Adams Oshiomhole, as well as former Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako and former Ogun Governor Olusegun Osoba, are among the guests.

Other guests include former APC interim chairman Chief Bisi Akande, former Borno Governor Ali Modu-Sheriff, former Zamfara Governor Ahmed Yerima, and former Sokoto Governor Aliyu Wamako, former Edo Governor Oserheimen Osunbor, former Yobe Governor Bukar Ibrahim, Senators Lawal Shuaibu, Aba Aji, Alh. Tijjani Tumsah, Ambassador Fati Bala, Hon. Abubakar Guru, and Alh

Tinubu, however, will not be able to attend because he is currently out of the country.
