Soludo has previously stated that if members of the proscribed group surrender their weapons, they will be granted amnesty.
This was declared by the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria immediately after a prayer session intended to end IPOB’s sit-at-home order.
Soludo while speaking said, “I have also offered Amnesty to all our brothers in the various forests around us. Give us your guns and trust us to help you forge a meaningful living.”
In response to the offer, Kanu stated that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) was established to protect the Eastern area from criminals.
The brother to the IPOB leader insisted that IPOB is not a criminal group that should be given amnesty.
He said, “IPOB led by #MaziNnamdiKanu formed #ESN to defend Biafraland against herdsmen terrorists.
“Upon the rendition of #MNK, IPOB called for Monday #SitAtHome, which it has ended. IPOB supports Gov Soludo’s efforts to end criminality in South East, but IPOB are no criminals to be given amnesty.”
