Governor Ikpeazu, the Deputy Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, told reporters after the meeting that the delegation was in Minna to confer with the head Of state ahead of the 2023 election.
He said, “I have come with my colleagues, the Governor of Rivers, Governor of Enugu, Governor of Oyo, some members of the National Assembly, and other stakeholders
“First, to consult with the former Head of State and discuss national issues: economic development, security, and unity of our country.
“And also, to commend him for his support for the unity of this country. And the discussions went very well and we will advance it from there.”
In response to IBB’s remark, Ikpeazu stated that the former military president raised serious concerns about the need for younger Nigerians to be bold in taking on the job of leading the country.
He urged Nigeria’s youth to take up the baton and save the country.
