Tinubu Donates N50 Million To Zamfara Victims Of Terrorist Attacks

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated N50 million to Zamfara communities that were recently ravaged by terrorists.

Tinubu, who announced his presidential bid on Monday, gave the money to the state governor, Bello Matawalle, on Thursday during a visit to Gusau, the state capital.

Former Borno governor Senator Kashim Shettima, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and former APC National Vice Chairman for the South-West, Chief Pius Akinyelure, accompanied him to Zamfara.

The former Lagos state governor, speaking at the Zamfara Government House, claimed that bandits and terrorists will be eliminated soon thanks to citizens’ resolve.

While condoling with governor Matawalle and the people of Zamfara, Tinubu called for sustained prayers to overcome the insecurity situation in the state.

He expressed his belief in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ability to solve the security challenges in the country and ensure that the country is stable.

“I could offer prayers for the people from anywhere, but coming in person is important.

“The enemies of knowledge, Boko Haram and other criminal elements will be defeated through commitment in humanity.

“We pray for the entire country to be stable and if the enemies refuse to stop the carnage, we shall eliminate them.

“We believe in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ability to restore law and order and bring back our country to stability and tracks of development,” Tinubu said.

Matawalle welcomed the APC national leader and his entourage, saying that their presence will help to console the grieving communities and the entire state’s people.

He praised Tinubu as a doyen of current Nigerian politics, a devoted leader, and a bridge-builder, noting that the former governor had spent his time developing individuals who had equally distinguished themselves in all sectors of human endeavor in contemporary Nigeria.

Matawalle expressed gratitude to the APC leader for visiting and commiserating with the state’s government and people.

“It is my pleasure to welcome His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Jagaban Borgu, who has spared time out of his tight commitments to visit the state to commiserate with our people over the recent tragic incident of banditry attacks in some communities of Anka and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas,” Matawalle said.
