Buhari Commissions Ogun Road Project

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday arrived in Ogun State for the commissioning of some infrastructural projects done by the Dapo Abiodun administration.

Buhari was welcomed by the state governor, his Lagos counterpart, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former Ogun governor Gbenga Daniel, and members of the state’s governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Nigerian leader, who was scheduled to be in the state of South West, arrived for the commissioning under heavy security and was greeted warmly by residents.

President Buhari has already inaugurated the 14-kilometer Epe/Ijebuode Express Road in the state and would soon commission more projects, as of the time of filing this report.

According to the state government, the projects will be beneficial to residents of the state and develop the state socio-economically by making it one of the emerging economies in the country.

Other projects to be commissioned by Buhari include the Ogun city gate and the 42km Abeokuta/ Sagamu road located at the Sagamu interchange.

The president will also inaugurate two housing projects; 527 units of a low and medium Housing Scheme at Kobape and the high-brow, 83 duplexes at the Kings Court Estate at Oke Mosan in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Thereafter, he is expected to hold a town hall meeting with critical stakeholders and party faithful at the June 12 cultural center in the state capital before leaving for Abuja.
