Ministry Of Sports Plans To Build 3 New Mini Stadium

The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development plans to develop three new mini stadia across the country for N90 million.
This was stated in President Muhammadu Buhari’s  budget for 2022, which was presented to the National Assembly on October 7.
In the fiscal year 2022, the sports ministry projected spending N193,315,083,317.
The sports ministry is slated to begin the building of new mini stadia, according to the budget breakdown, in Anambra and one in Oyo State.
The projects as recorded in the budget are Construction of mini-stadium with 1000 seating capacity in Anambra South Senatorial district, Anambra State N30,000,000; Construction of the mini-stadium, Ode Aremo, Atiba LGA Oyo N10,000,000; and Construction of the mini-stadium, Agu Isi-Onye, Km. 70 Enugu – Onitsha dual carriageway, Anambra 50,000,000.
The sports ministry also intends to finish certain mini-stadiums that are currently being built around the country.
The N100 million initiative is tasked with completing selected minor sports complexes in each geopolitical zone.
The “ongoing development of mini stadia at GSS Garin Lamido in Sabon Gari” was also given N100 million.
