Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the manager of Manchester United, has reacted to Antonio Conte’s departure to Tottenham Hotspur.
Solskjaer mentioned that he met Conte when the two men shared a meal with Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former Chelsea manager, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as Spurs manager, will ‘add a lot’ to the club, according to the Norwegian.
Spurs fired Nuno after barely four months in charge, Antonio Conte was named as the Portuguese’s replacement.
Conte won the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea last season, as well as the Serie A title with Inter.
Conte was extensively linked with a transfer to Manchester United to replace Solskjaer before joining Tottenham.
When questioned about Conte’s arrival ahead of Tottenham’s match against Atalanta, Solskjaer remarked, “He will bring a lot to Tottenham.”
“Antonio Conte has already proven to be a successful coach. The last time I saw him was at a dinner with [Sir Alex] Ferguson in England.”
