Workers at the Police Service Commission (PSC) shut down the PSC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
The workers were protesting the force headquarters’ alleged takeover of the current recruitment of 10,000 constables.
The Workers also protested the alleged takeover of ongoing recruitment, lack of staff promotion, and management training.

According to reports, demonstrators forced the Permanent Secretary, William Alo, and directors out of their offices as they declared a three-day warning strike beginning today.
The workers called a strike against the commission administration, which is chaired by Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector-General of Police according to PUNCH.
They accused management of handing over the PSC’s constitutional responsibility to the police.
