VP Shettima Meets With Parents of Abducted Students Assures Swift Return

Vice President Kashim Shettima convened a crucial meeting with leaders of the Kuriga community in Kaduna State and representatives of families affected by the recent abduction of nearly 300 students from LEA Primary School and Government Secondary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna on Saturday, the meeting underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to securing the safe return of the abducted students.
During the meeting, Vice President Shettima reiterated President Tinubu’s directive to security agencies to employ all necessary measures to rescue the kidnapped students, emphasizing the government’s determination to spare no effort in ensuring their safe return.
He urged the media to exercise caution in reporting on the incident to avoid compromising ongoing rescue operations and to prevent unnecessary panic among the affected families and the wider community.
Expressing solidarity with the families of the abducted students, Vice President Shettima affirmed the Federal Government’s shared sense of urgency and concern over the mass abduction.
He assured the Kuriga community leaders and representatives of the families that every possible resource and effort would be mobilized to facilitate the swift and safe return of the abducted students.
In response to the Vice President’s assurance, Governor Uba Sani expressed gratitude for the visit and commended the tireless efforts of the Federal Government in coordinating rescue operations.
Governor Sani voiced confidence in the capabilities of the security forces and expressed optimism that the abducted students would be reunited with their families unharmed.
He called upon the media to refrain from sensationalizing or politicizing the incident, emphasizing the need for responsible reporting to support ongoing rescue efforts and maintain calm within the community.
