The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has confirmed that Tobi Amusan, World Record Holder in the 100m hurdles, is recovering well after withdrawing from the ongoing 2024 African Senior Athletics Championships in Douala due to illness.
AFN President Tony Okowa reassured fans yesterday, stating that there is no cause for concern about Amusan’s health and that she will resume training soon in preparation for the Paris Olympics.
In addition, contrary to reports from an online platform, AFN officials clarified that athletes Tima Godbless and Ella Onojuvwevwo are actively competing in the 23rd African Athletics Championships in Douala.
