Everything is set for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to formally appoint Nuhu Ribadu, former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as National Security Adviser (NSA).
According to reports, the President picked Ribadu for the position of top security officer over two other.
According to sources, Tinubu considered the three candidates for the NSA position before deciding on Ribadu, who is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s experienced individuals in the field of security and law enforcement, as part of his efforts to fulfill his promise to deliver a “bold, no-nonsense crime prevention reform” to protect Nigerians.

General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), a former Chief of the Army Staff and former Minister of Interior, and Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the current Director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), were the two other, according to The Whistler.
The NSA acts as the President’s main security adviser, coordinating several security agencies, providing intelligence assessments, and developing policies to deal with the security issues facing the country.
