President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Rotimi Pedro as the new Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the country’s foremost state-owned broadcaster.
The appointment was announced yesterday in a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Pedro, who hails from the South-West, will lead the Authority alongside three newly appointed members of the management team:
- Karimah Bello (North-West) – Executive Director, Marketing
- Stella Din Jacob (North-Central) – Executive Director, News
- Sophia Essahmed (North-East) – Managing Director, NTA Enterprises Limited
President Tinubu urged the appointees to embrace teamwork and innovation in discharging their duties, stressing the need to reposition and revitalize the NTA for effective service delivery in today’s evolving media landscape.
