The 2025 Met Gala lit up New York City on Monday night as celebrities arrived in striking, tailored ensembles to honor this year’s theme: “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the annual fashion event celebrated the artistry and cultural significance of Black dandyism and its influence across the Atlantic diaspora.

In line with the Costume Institute’s latest exhibition, the theme explored how clothing and self-expression have helped shape Black identity. The official dress code, “Tailored for You,” paid tribute to the evolution of menswear and the precision of personal style.

Met Gala co-chairs Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Anna Wintour arrived early, donning elegant, dandy-inspired interpretations of the theme. A parade of stars followed, with Zendaya, Diana Ross, Shakira, and Teyana Taylor among the standout arrivals, turning the iconic Met steps into a bold statement of fashion, culture, and creativity.
