The wife of Ondo State Governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has withdrawn from the Owerri’s Senatorial race.
She cited irregularities, use of brute force, and intimidation against her and her supporters as reasons for her withdrawal.
She claimed that some high authorities within the party had concluded a plan to scheme the whole process in favor of a particular candidate.
It was alleged she was manhandled and forced out of the party secretariat by thugs.
